This is a full-time, in-office role. You’ll be right at the centre of the action, working with the team as ideas turn into working machines. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys making, problem-solving, and being part of a small team building something big.
What you’ll be doing
- Assembling and integrating mechanical and electronic systems
- Operating 3D printers, machining and fabricating custom parts
- Designing and building test rigs for hardware and subsystems
- Troubleshooting issues on live builds
- Looking after the robotics lab (tools, equipment, and supplies)
- Managing procurement to keep projects moving
Must-have skills
- Experience with electronics and hardware assemblies
- Hands-on skills in 3D printing, machining, and workshop tools
- Ability to read drawings and build from them
- Experience building or testing hardware prototypes
- Organised and proactive in managing a lab/workshop
Nice to have
- Experience with robotics, automation, or mechatronics
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM
- Knowledge of motors, sensors, or embedded systems
- Workshop safety awareness
