Robotics Technician

About the Role
We’re building intelligent robots that work in the real world. As a Robotics Technician you’ll be hands-on with hardware every day, assembling systems, building test rigs, robot repairs and keeping our workshop running smoothly.

This is a full-time, in-office role. You’ll be right at the centre of the action, working with the team as ideas turn into working machines. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys making, problem-solving, and being part of a small team building something big.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Assembling and integrating mechanical and electronic systems
  • Operating 3D printers, machining and fabricating custom parts
  • Designing and building test rigs for hardware and subsystems
  • Troubleshooting issues on live builds
  • Looking after the robotics lab (tools, equipment, and supplies)
  • Managing procurement to keep projects moving

Must-have skills

  • Experience with electronics and hardware assemblies
  • Hands-on skills in 3D printing, machining, and workshop tools
  • Ability to read drawings and build from them
  • Experience building or testing hardware prototypes
  • Organised and proactive in managing a lab/workshop

Nice to have

  • Experience with robotics, automation, or mechatronics
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM
  • Knowledge of motors, sensors, or embedded systems
  • Workshop safety awareness
